Abstract
By the end of 2024, China's population aged 60 and above had reached 310 million, accounting for 22.0% of the total population.
As population aging accelerates, traditional elderly care models face severe challenges.
At the same time, the technological revolution brings new opportunities to the senior care industry.
Smart senior care, driven by both technology and services, not only meets the multi-level needs of the elderly but also opens new paths for the silver economy.
In this context, systematically mapping the smart senior care ecosystem and exploring innovative business models is not only a practical response to societal needs but also a key support for transforming the industry from “barbaric growth” to “high-quality development.”
This study focuses on China's smart senior care industry, systematically reviewing the industry background, development status, typical corporate practices, and future trends.
It provides insights into the “home-community-institution” full-scenario service ecosystem, offering a comprehensive reference for government decision-making, corporate strategy, capital allocation, and industry researchers, helping smart senior care move from “technological innovation” to “value realization.”
